Welcome to Odds & Ends, a series where I explore my current fixations for the moment whether it’s an article of clothing or a book I’m stuck on.
I’m not sure how we’ve already made it to August, but I’m simultaneously trying to grasp at Summer’s sweetness while also daydreaming about being outside without melting and all the outfits I’d like to wear this coming Fall.
THE PERFECT WHITE TANK:
My creativity while getting dressed dwindles when everyday seems to be 95 degrees with a chance of rain. I’m forced to appreciate the basics in my closet to see what combinations I have yet to come up with. We saw Jessica Pratt live last night (so dreamy) so I styled my newly gifted Racer Tank by Kotn and it exceeded my expectations in comfort and quality.
Racer Tank by Kotn styled with a vintage black silk skirt, Flynn Necklace from Revolve, Hansel Mesh flats by Peche (similar ones here) and my trusty Ollie Bag by Staud.
CURRENTLY READING:
I finished the novel Second Place by Rachel Cusk last weekend, it was the perfect Summer read the way it set the scene at a remote coastal cottage.
I have about 100 pages left of The Secret History by Donna Tartt, I’m pacing myself because I don’t want it to be over— her writing style is absolutely captivating.
I’ve also just started Alphabetical Diaries by Sheila Heti— I devoured two of her other books earlier this year so I was excited to see this on the shelves while wandering around at Virginia Highlands Bookstore.

FARMER’S MARKET MORNINGS:
One of the most simple pleasures in life is waking up early and strolling around the Farmer’s Market, I feel spoiled that Atlanta has such incredible markets year ‘round with vendors specializing in everything from foraged mushrooms to the iconic Georgia peach. One thing is for sure, I’ll never leave the market without a bouquet of flowers to brighten up our home.
Mint Ruffle Cardigan by Aveclo, Dancer Skirt by Allina Liu, Santa Croc Tote by Dragon Diffusion and Lily Nude flip flops by Tkees.
BIG BASKET BAG:
Speaking of strolling around the market, there’s nothing more satisfying than a big ole’ basket bag that you can toss all your belongings in and still look put together. The Paloma Basket by Sezane does just that.
Featuring my current reads, Claw Clip by Undone and of course, my everyday Mini Bottle by Bink ( use code VACILLAVI for 15% off <3 ).
Notable mentions:
Ghia sodas to pair with dinner.
Leaving The Fatty by Hanni on my nightstand for easy moisturizing.
The very underestimated soundtrack of Popeye (1980) by Harry Nilsson, this track in particular.
Until next time!
xo, Paige
The Secret History is the best book I read last year. SO good! My Mom loved it too. I can't wait to read more from Donna Tartt. I'm curious your thoughts on the Rachel Cusk and Sheila Heti books. I loved Motherhood and am curious to read more from her
Totally agree about the Popeye soundtrack and He Needs Me! ♥️
