Summer Things
Six fixations for warmer days.
I hadn’t planned to take a break from writing, yet it’s exactly what I needed over the last few months. So far, Summertime has been sweet and savory— the ultimate treat. Time spent with my people, the outdoors and some current fixations have been carrying me through these longer days.
1. Tangible mood boards
When we first moved to Georgia, our neighbor kindly offered me a stack of his forgotten fashion and art magazines, the perfect welcome gift. I’ve always found comfort in collaging, whether it was for an art class or decorating my childhood bedroom.
I painted my office in India Yellow by Farrow & Ball last month, arranging the clippings above my desk against the room’s color story has become a revolving project.
2. Red-wine denim
I’m a sucker for a low-rise, slouchy jean— this Dark Rosette colorway in particular has won me over. It’s been a fun challenge to style these and I’ve already been playing with ideas for Fall. When they first arrived, my instinct was to pair them with my mesh Hansel flats as well as the black kitten heels I scored on Depop.

3. Kitten heels with every outfit
Speaking of kitten heels, I’m completely converted. Keep it classic like these or opt for a pop of color— both will come in handy. Don’t forget the cherry on top, a chic little anklet bracelet.
4. Setting the table
I found this lace crochet tablecloth at the thrift store, which ended up being free since it had no tags at checkout, call it fate. It’s transformed my opinion of our secondhand $15 Ikea dining table we bought out of pure necessity to fit this space. Sharing our meals has become much more satisfying.
5. Early mornings
If you know me well, this isn’t groundbreaking. I’ve been an early riser for years, thriving off the quiet hours of the morning. Catching up with the moon before it sets and running into the family of deer on my walks with Turnip.
Brown and blue, blue and brown
I frequent my ‘brown and __ insert color here__’ obsession depending on the season. Lately, I’m back on the brown and blue kick, inspired by my YouSwim bikini. Light layers for sun protection featuring both vintage and new button ups, accompanied by a basket tote for schlepping or a distressed leather bag that somehow looks good with every outfit.
Happy to be back! Until next time,
xo, Paige

Paige your photography is unbelievable! And these outfits rock. I too hate my ikea table, wondering if a tablecloth is really all I need to stop desiring a more expensive upgrade.
