When I’m in the depths of a busy phase in life— I crave beauty, excitement and of course, sweet little treats (of all kinds) to keep me creatively fueled. Here is what’s filling my cup:
TRIPS TO THE LIBRARY
Phyllo Skirt by Something to Hold, Santa Croc Small Tote by Dragon Diffusion, Kiki Flats by Shop Peche and a cropped striped vintage button up.
This is a monthly ritual for Ryan and I that I always look forward to. No matter how many times we visit this place it always welcomes us right back in— surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and a sea of trees. My current library rentals:
Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar (been eager to dive into this one)
Outline by Rachel Cusk
DINING FUN
Frozen drinks at my new favorite neighborhood spot: Gene’s *not pictured, the banana pudding which I’m still thinking about.
Speaking of bananas…. pancakes at Ria’s Bluebird for my honey’s birthday breakfast.
Tiramisu perfection (to go!) from Gigi’s Italian Kitchen.
ART TO INSPIRE
I was invited to the opening of the new exhibition at the High Museum of Art here in Atlanta: Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.
“Through approximately 115 objects, including 98 major artworks, the exhibition will trace the evolution of an audacious and ambitious collection and explore the ways in which the featured artists and their work have grappled with societal issues, embraced monumentality, and made a palpable impact on the art canon.”

I was floored by the talent and variety throughout this show. Getting dressed up and previewing it at night alongside so many other creative folks made it even more spectacular.
ODDS AND ENDS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY <3

Until next time!

I’ve also been finding so much comfort in the library lately, especially during the recent heatwaves. In a world where you have to spend money to do pretty much everything, it has become a very sacred place for me. Always quiet, always cool, with plenty of natural light and reading material. A true sanctuary <3
